Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from central areas in The Quiet Corner, start by taking Route 44 west towards New Milford. Follow Route 44 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 7. Turn left onto Route 7 south and continue for about 4 miles. Once you reach New Milford, keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Lovers Leap Bridge, which will be located on your right. The bridge is situated near Lovers Leap State Park, where you can park your vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from your location in The Quiet Corner to the Danbury Transit Center. From there, transfer to the Connecticut Transit Bus #5 towards New Milford. This bus will take you directly to New Milford. Once you arrive in New Milford, you can either take a taxi or rideshare service to Lovers Leap Bridge, which is about a 10-minute drive from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as service may be limited.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from nearby towns in The Quiet Corner. Use secondary roads and bike paths to reach Route 44. Once you’re on Route 44, continue toward New Milford. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads. There are designated bike lanes in certain areas, but be cautious of traffic.

• Walking

  If you are staying in New Milford and want to walk to Lovers Leap Bridge, start from the town center. Head south on Main Street, which will turn into Route 7. Follow Route 7 for about 2 miles until you see the signs for Lovers Leap State Park. The bridge is a short walk from the parking area. Be prepared for a bit of a trek as this is not a short distance.
