After approximately 5 kilometers, you'll see a sign for Piraki Lookout on your left. Turn left at the sign and follow the narrow road up the hill. There is parking available at the lookout. Ensure you have your vehicle in good condition as some roads can be steep.

For those using public transportation, catch a bus from Arutanga to Amuri. Buses operate regularly, and the fare is typically around 5 NZD. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Piraki Lookout turn-off. Once you arrive at the turn-off, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer up the hill to reach the lookout. Be prepared for a bit of a hike, as the path can be steep.

If you prefer to walk to Piraki Lookout, you can start from the main village of Arutanga. The distance is about 5 kilometers, which should take roughly 1 hour to walk.
