From the center of Ngatangiia, head northwest along the main road towards Avarua. Keep walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the junction with Makea Tinirau Rd. Turn left onto Makea Tinirau Rd. Continue walking for another 5 minutes. Taputapuatea will be on your right.

If you have a bicycle, start from the Ngatangiia Beach area. Cycle north along the coastal road towards Avarua. After about 10-15 minutes, look out for Makea Tinirau Rd on your right. Turn onto Makea Tinirau Rd and ride for another 5 minutes until you reach Taputapuatea, which will be on your right side.
