    From Avarua, the capital, catch the local bus heading towards the Takitumu District. Buses depart approximately every 30 minutes along Ara Tapu Road. Ask the driver to stop at Fruits of Rarotonga, a well-known café across from Tikioki Beach. The bus fare is approximately NZ$5 per person.

    Taxi

    Taxis are available from anywhere on Rarotonga, including the airport or Avarua. Pre-booking is recommended. A taxi from the airport to Tikioki Beach will cost approximately NZ$40-45 per person. From Avarua, expect to pay around NZ$15-20. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
