Walking
From Muri Beach, a well-known starting point in Takitumu, walk south along the beach towards the main road (Ara Tapu). Continue until the end of Muri Beach (approximately 15-20 minutes). Turn left onto Ara Tapu and walk for 10-15 minutes until you see a small path leading to Turoa Beach. Follow the path to the beach. There are no costs associated with walking.
Public Transport
From Avarua, take the local bus service heading towards the Takitumu District. Buses run regularly along Ara Tapu Road. Ask the driver to drop you off near Turoa Beach; it's a well-known location. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the beach. A one-way bus fare is approximately NZD 5.
Taxi
From anywhere in Rarotonga, a taxi can take you to Turoa Beach. Taxis are readily available, but it's best to book in advance. A short taxi ride from Muri Beach will cost approximately NZD 10-20. From Avarua, expect to pay around NZD 20-30.
