Getting There

  • By Car

    From San Jose, take Route 1 north towards Alajuela. Continue on Route 1 until you reach San Ramon. From there, take Route 702 towards La Fortuna. Once in La Fortuna, follow the signs to Fortuna Waterfall. There is a parking area where you can leave your car and then hike down to the waterfall.

  • Public Transportation

    From San Jose, take a bus to La Fortuna. Buses depart regularly from the Terminal 7-10. Once in La Fortuna, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Fortuna Waterfall. The entrance to the waterfall is a short hike from where the bus or taxi drops you off.
