If you are driving from Puerto Viejo, head west on Route 36 (also known as the Costanera Sur) until you reach the intersection with Route 2. Turn left onto Route 2 and continue until you see signs for San Isidro de El General. Follow the signs towards San Isidro, and as you approach the town, look for Route 245. Take Route 245 towards Savegre. The drive will take approximately 3-4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. There may be tolls along Route 27 if you choose that route instead.
