Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car within Central Pacific, head towards the town of Quepos. From Quepos, take Route 34 (Costanera Sur) northbound. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 160. Turn left onto Route 160 and follow the signs towards Barco Quebrado. After approximately 10 kilometers, you'll see a sign for Barrigona Beach. Turn onto the gravel road leading to the beach. Be prepared for some rough terrain, and consider a vehicle with good clearance. Parking is usually available near the beach entrance.

Public Transportation
Start your journey by taking a bus from Quepos to Jacó, which runs frequently. After arriving in Jacó, transfer to a local bus that heads towards Barco Quebrado. Ensure to confirm with the bus driver that they stop at the Barrigona Beach area. The bus ride will take around 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Barco Quebrado, it may be necessary to walk or hitch a ride for about 1 kilometer to reach the beach. Be aware that this last stretch may not have consistent transportation options, so plan accordingly.
