Car
If you're driving from Quepos, take Route 34 (Carretera Costanera) south towards Dominical. After approximately 15 minutes, look for signs indicating the turn-off for Cathedral Point (Punta Catedral), which is located in the Manuel Antonio area. Follow the local roads that lead to the tip of the peninsula, where you can find parking near the viewpoints. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee, usually around $2-5.
Public Transportation
From Quepos, you can catch a local bus heading towards Manuel Antonio. The bus stop is located near the Quepos bus terminal. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach Manuel Antonio, you will need to take a taxi or walk towards Cathedral Point. Taxis in the area are relatively affordable, costing around $10-15 for the short trip. If you prefer walking, it’s a scenic route that will take approximately 45 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in the Manuel Antonio area, you can walk to Cathedral Point. Start at the main entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park and head towards the beach. Follow the coastal path that leads around the peninsula. This scenic walk can take about an hour and offers beautiful views of the coastline. Ensure you wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water as there are limited facilities along the route.
