From Jaco, head to the main bus station located on Avenida Pastor Diaz. Look for the bus company 'Transportes Del Pacifico' which operates routes to Carara. Purchase a ticket to Carara, which should cost around $2. The bus departs roughly every hour. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Carara National Park entrance.

After getting off the bus at the Carara National Park entrance, you will need to hike to reach Bijagual Waterfall. Follow the marked trails leading into the park. The trail is about a 3 km hike and can take roughly 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to bring water and wear appropriate hiking shoes. The path may have some steep sections, so be prepared for a little challenge.
