Getting There

• Bus

  From Jaco, head to the local bus station located on Avenida Pastor Díaz. Look for the bus labeled 'Tarcoles' or 'Quebrada Ganado.' The fare is usually around 500-800 colones. Once aboard, enjoy the scenic ride, which takes approximately 30-40 minutes. After arriving in Tarcoles, you will need to get off at the gas station (estación de servicio) in Tarcoles. From there, walk 300 meters east along the main road, and you will reach Carara Adventure Park.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  You can easily find a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber in Jaco. Simply request a ride to 'Carara Adventure Park' or give the driver the address: '300 metros este de la estación de servicio, Tarcoles, Provincia de Puntarenas.' The ride will take about 30 minutes, and the fare will vary but is typically around 20,000-30,000 colones.

• Walking/Biking

  If you are feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, consider biking from Jaco to Carara Adventure Park. Start from central Jaco, head towards the main highway (Route 34), and follow the signs toward Tarcoles. It's about a 15 km ride and can take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to stay on the side of the road for safety. Upon reaching Tarcoles, look for the gas station, and from there, walk 300 meters east to the park entrance.
