The walk to Montezuma Waterfalls takes about 20 minutes from the town center, following the river. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear as the trails can be rocky and slippery.

The public bus connects Montezuma with Cóbano and Cabuya. From Cóbano, you can catch a bus to other destinations on the Nicoya Peninsula or to Puntarenas for the ferry to the mainland. The bus from Montezuma to Cóbano costs approximately 500 CRC. Check local bus schedules for up-to-date departure times.

Taxis are available in Montezuma for short trips to nearby attractions or accommodations. A taxi from Montezuma to Cóbano, which is about 8 km away, costs around $20.
