From the center of Montezuma, Playa Montezuma is easily accessible on foot. Head towards the main intersection where the bus stop is located. From there, walk towards the beach boulevard. The beach is directly in front of you, with hotels, restaurants, and souvenir stores lining the sand streets. No costs are associated with accessing the beach.

If arriving in Montezuma by bus, the bus will drop you off near the beach boulevard. From there, Playa Montezuma is a short walk away. *Note: A direct bus from San José to Montezuma costs $15.50. A bus from Tamarindo to Montezuma takes 9-10 hours and costs approximately $18. A bus from San José to Puntarenas is approximately $6. The ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera costs approximately $1.65 for adults. The bus from Paquera to Cóbano is approximately $1.38.
