    If arriving in Montezuma by bus, the bus will drop you off near the beach boulevard. From there, Playa Montezuma is a short walk away. *Note: A direct bus from San José to Montezuma costs $15.50. A bus from Tamarindo to Montezuma takes 9-10 hours and costs approximately $18. A bus from San José to Puntarenas is approximately $6. The ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera costs approximately $1.65 for adults. The bus from Paquera to Cóbano is approximately $1.38.
