From your location in Jaco, you can easily find a taxi. Simply wave down a taxi on the street or ask your hotel to call one for you. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Curu Wildlife Refuge' or 'Isla Tortuga'. The ride will take approximately 1 hour to reach the ferry terminal in Paquera. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, purchase your ferry ticket to Isla Tortuga.

Head to the nearest bus stop in Jaco. Look for the bus heading to 'Puntarenas'. Buses run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. Once you arrive in Puntarenas, transfer to a bus going to Paquera. The total bus journey will take around 2 to 2.5 hours. After reaching Paquera, walk to the ferry terminal and buy your ticket for Isla Tortuga.
