Jaco: Nighttime Jungle Walk with Bonfire Dinner and Pickup

Fun night time tour with lots of critters and a waterfall

The booking process was easy and we were able to communicate with the company through what's app before we got to the excursion (which was really helpful.) My partner and I booked really last minute (joining some of our fellow conference going friends in Jaco) and the hosts were really accommodating to us and waited for us to arrive there, as opposed to starting without us. Yari, the park manager welcomed us at reception and was playing music for us. Lucia welcomed everyone with the traditional Chile Guaro drinks at the beginning of the tour. Our guides for the night were Luis, Chris, Deibyn, and Lucia. Although, initially I was hoping to see some sloths and monkeys on the tour. I unfortunately, did not but I did have a fun time observing and interacting with different critters in the jungle (a beautiful blue butterfly🦋 that was attracted to our flashlights and followed us for a good 5 minutes briefly landing on some of us, a large centipede that I held in my hand, a tarantula 🕷️, a beetle, 🪲a cicada, and some frogs/toads🐸.) I was able to get into the pool of water at the end of the trail where the waterfall was and take some photos next to it with my friends. We also saw some fish and crawfish inside the pool. When we got back we got to have a bonfire with a traditional Costa Rican spooky story accompanied by the experience of roasting giant marshmallows. We also got a big bonus because we were allowed to ride one the horses that was there on the farm. If you were limited on time or money that you had to use on excursions, I wouldn't make this a top priority. However, I don't think there's that many excursions that you can do at night, anyway, so if you're looking for a fun little adventure, it'll work. P.S. Luis was funny and he was my favorite! 😜

3 Waterfalls with lunch included

Amazing jungle hike, waterfalls, incredible lunch, good guides!

Great walk/hike about 3 miles round trip in and out of a creek/riverbed (wear shoes you can get wet!). Amazing lunch at a jungle house with delicious food, jungle views, and great hospitality. Beautiful small waterfalls with a chance to soak in the pools at the base of the falls and fresh pineapple served. Great and very friendly and helpful guides. This was an amazing tour! We are all in decent shape and had no problems. We had some healthy and active senior citizens with us who could do the hike. It could be hard if you had mobility issues because you’re stepping in and out of the riverbed.

Awesome adventure

It was a wonderful adventure - I took my 17 year old nephew and the hike, swimming in the waterfall and riding the horses were awesome!! Our guide Andres was knowledgeable on the plants, birds, trees on the property. He looked around the whole time to be able to point out interesting things.
