From the center of La Fortuna, head north on Avenida 1 until you reach the intersection with Calle 3. Turn left onto Calle 3 and continue straight. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Keep walking for about 1 kilometer. Look for a sign indicating 'Banco Nacional' on your left. Continue walking past the bank for another 1 kilometer. The La Fortuna Hikes and Trails will be on your left, just after the bank, at 1 kilometer north of Banco Nacional.
