Boat
To reach Isla Cañas, you'll need to take a boat from the mainland. The most common departure point is from the port of Sigua, about 15 minutes past Playa Venao towards Tonosí. Alternatively, you can take a boat from the town of Cañas. The boat ride through the mangroves takes about 10 minutes. Coordinate your trip with the tides, as low tide may require walking through mud to reach the boat. A one-way boat trip from Cañas port costs around $1.50. Private charters from Muelle port can cost around $16. Some tours include transportation from Pedasí or Playa Venao.
