Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within the Los Santos Region, start by heading to the closest main town, such as San Isidro de El General. From San Isidro, take Route 2 (Interamericana) north toward San José. After approximately 30 minutes, look for the signs directing you to Route 10 toward Heredia. Once you reach Heredia, follow the signs for Barrio Escobal. The Centro Geográfico de Costa Rica is at the coordinates XRF3+2F7, which you can enter into your GPS for precise navigation.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Centro Geográfico de Costa Rica by public transportation, begin your journey at the San Isidro de El General bus terminal. Take a bus heading to San José. Once you arrive in San José, transfer to a bus heading to Heredia, specifically looking for the route that stops at Barrio Escobal. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the closest stop to XRF3+2F7. From there, it will be a short walk to the Centro Geográfico de Costa Rica.
