Car
If you're driving, start from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. Head southeast on Route 606 towards Santa Elena. After about 5 km, merge onto Route 702. Continue on Route 702 for approximately 30 km. You will pass through the town of La Fortuna. Alberto's Horses is situated on Route 702, look for the sign indicating the horseback riding service. The approximate driving time is 1 hour, depending on traffic and road conditions. Make sure to keep some cash handy for potential parking fees.

Public Transportation
To use public transportation, first take a local bus from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve to Santa Elena. From Santa Elena, you can catch a shuttle bus to La Fortuna. The shuttle buses usually depart several times a day. Upon arriving in La Fortuna, you may need to take a taxi to reach Alberto's Horses on Route 702. The taxi ride from the town center to the location will take about 10 minutes and could cost around $10 USD. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance to plan your trip efficiently.
