Car
From the center of Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, head southeast on Route 606. Continue on this road for about 4 km until you reach the intersection with Route 601. Turn right onto Route 601 and drive for approximately 6 km. Keep an eye out for the sign for NATUWA Wildlife Sanctuary, which will be on your left, about 1 km past the Plaza Deportes. The sanctuary is located at 1 km Plaza deportes Santuario NATUWA, Pitahaya, 60102. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Monteverde to Puntarenas. Once you reach Puntarenas, look for a local bus heading towards Pitahaya. Inform the driver that you want to get off at NATUWA Wildlife Sanctuary, which is approximately 1 km after the Plaza Deportes. The bus ride will cost around 2,000-3,000 CRC. Be sure to check the bus schedules beforehand, as they may vary.
