Driving
From Katira, drive towards the Tenorio Volcano National Park entrance. The drive is approximately 15-20 minutes on a paved road. Parking is available near the park entrance for approximately 2000 CRC. Be aware that the road can be narrow and winding in some sections.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Katira and can take you to the Tenorio Volcano National Park entrance. A taxi ride from Katira to the park entrance typically costs around $20 - $30 USD. Negotiate the price before starting the journey.
Walking
While it is possible to walk from Katira to Tenorio Volcano National Park, it is not recommended due to the distance (approximately 6 miles) and the lack of pedestrian-friendly roads. The walk would take approximately 2-3 hours.
