Tamarindo: Private Nature Tour with Swim and Sloth Sanctuary

Private day tour to Volcán Tenorio national park, home/farm visit and sloth sanctuary

We did a private tour with Alberto (starting from Tamarindo where we stayed) to Volcán Tenorio national park, which was a 2.5 hour drive away. On the way there, we stopped at a bakery with excellent coffee and pasteries. Alberto gave us a very customized trip, tailor made for our needs with less than a day's notice, showing great flexibility. We were able to spend more time hiking in the national park, visit a local home/farm where we had local coffee and tried making homemade tortillas. We also visited a sloth sanctuary along with a delicious lunch stop. Alberto is extremely knowledgeable about the area, the nature and Costa Rica in general. The experience exceeded our expectations in the best way possible, and we had a fabulous day. We would highly recommend Alberto and this tour or some version of it to anyone who is interested in seeing the national park, the nature and the animals in their natural environment.
