Walking
From Playa Flamingo, head south along the main road (Route 180). Continue walking for approximately 30 minutes until you reach a small junction. At this junction, you will see a sign indicating the direction to Iguanita. Turn left onto the dirt road and follow it for about 15 minutes. You will pass through some local neighborhoods and will notice signs directing you towards Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Iguanita. Keep walking until the road ends, and you will arrive at the entrance to the refuge.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Playa Flamingo. Start your journey by heading south on Route 180. After about 30 minutes, look for a junction on your left with a sign pointing to Iguanita. Turn left onto the dirt road. Ride for another 15 minutes, passing through neighborhoods and following signs to the refuge. The route is mostly flat, making it a pleasant ride. Once you reach the end of the road, you will find the entrance to Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Iguanita.

Public Transport
From Playa Flamingo, you can take a local bus heading towards Huacas. Board the bus and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Iguanita. This should take about 20 minutes. Once you disembark, follow the signs to Iguanita, which will involve a short walk along a dirt road for about 15 minutes until you reach the entrance of Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Iguanita.
