If you're traveling by car from Liberia, take Route 1 (Interamericana) towards Cañas and then follow Route 21 towards the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Look for signs indicating 'La Vieja Waterfalls'. After approximately 30 minutes on Route 21, turn left onto the road leading to the waterfalls. Follow this road for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the La Vieja Waterfalls parking area. There is a small parking fee of around $5 USD.

To reach La Vieja Waterfalls via public transport, take a bus from Liberia to Curubande. Buses leave from the main bus terminal in Liberia and the ride takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Curubande, you'll need to hire a taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to take you the remaining 10 kilometers to La Vieja Waterfalls. Expect to pay around $15-20 USD for the taxi ride. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip as service may be limited.
