From the main entrance of Rincon de la Vieja National Park, head southeast on the road towards Liberia. Continue on this road for approximately 7 kilometers (about 4.3 miles). Look for the signs indicating the exit towards Canas Dulces (Route 1). Turn right onto Route 1 and continue for about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). You will pass through the town of Canas Dulces. Keep an eye out for Vandará Explore Costa Rica's Nature, which will be on your left side shortly after you pass through the town.

From Rincon de la Vieja National Park, you can take a bus from the nearby town of Liberia to Canas Dulces. First, head to the nearest bus stop in Liberia. Buses to Canas Dulces run frequently, so check the schedule at the bus terminal. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Canas Dulces, you might need to walk about 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) to reach Vandará Explore Costa Rica's Nature, which is located just outside the town. Follow the road signs or ask locals for directions.
