From San Carlos, take Route 4 (Carretera a La Fortuna) heading southeast. Continue on Route 4 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 126. Turn left onto Route 126. After about 12 kilometers, you will see signs for Reserva biológica Tirimbina; follow the signs and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the reserve. Note that parking is available on-site.
