Getting There

Walking
From Tamarindo's main beach area, head southeast towards the main road (Route 160). Walk along the beach until you reach the main road. After about 15 minutes, you'll arrive at the intersection where you can see the supermarket called 'Auto Mercado' on your left. Turn left onto Route 160.

Continue walking along Route 160 for about 500 meters. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the sign for Playa Grande School on your right. Frijoles Locos Surf Shop is located just next door, to the west of the school.

Once you reach Playa Grande School, look for a small path leading to the shop. Frijoles Locos Surf Shop is approximately 700 meters from the beach, so you may need to walk a little further along the side of the school to find the entrance.

Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tamarindo. Start from the main beach area and head towards Route 160. Follow the same directions as for walking. Biking will take you about 5-10 minutes depending on your speed.

Taxi
If you prefer not to walk or bike, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Tamarindo. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Frijoles Locos Surf Shop next to Playa Grande School'. The ride should be short, around 5-10 minutes, and you can expect to pay a reasonable fare.
