Getting There

    From the center of Tamarindo, head towards the main road (Avenida Central). Walk northwest until you reach the intersection with Route 155. Continue straight on Avenida Central until you reach the bus station (Estación de Autobuses). From there, you can catch a bus heading to Santa Cruz. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the nearest stop to the Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge.

    Once you arrive at the bus station, board a bus towards Santa Cruz. The buses run frequently; make sure to check the schedule. The ride will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you're near Refundores, as the wildlife refuge is located in that area.

    After getting off the bus in Refundores, walk towards the location indicated by the address (85P2+7VX). You may need to ask locals for further directions, as the refuge may not be well marked.
