Getting There

    From Liberia, head to the main bus terminal located at Avenida 5, Calle 2. Look for buses heading towards Santa Cruz. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Santa Cruz, you'll need to transfer to a local bus heading to Playa Grande. Check with the bus driver or locals for the correct bus. The Playa Grande bus will take about 30 minutes.

    Once you arrive at Playa Grande, get off the bus and walk south towards the beach. You'll want to keep the ocean on your left. Continue walking until you reach Escuela de Playa Grande, which is about a 10-15 minute walk. The national park entrance is located 500 meters south of the school.
