Walking
From the center of Tamarindo, head southeast on Avenida Central until you reach the beach. Once you arrive at the beach, turn left and walk along the shoreline. Continue walking for about 30-40 minutes until you reach Playa Guiones. Look for the signs along the way, as they will guide you to the right path. This route will provide you with beautiful ocean views and a relaxing beach walk.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tamarindo. Start by heading south on Avenida Central. After about 1 km, you will reach the beach. Turn left onto the beach road, which will take you towards Playa Guiones. It’s approximately a 10 km ride, so be sure to hydrate and enjoy the scenic route. Follow the beach road until you see Playa Guiones on your right.

Public Transportation
To reach Playa Guiones by public bus, head to the Tamarindo bus station located on the main road. Look for the bus heading towards Nosara or Samara, as they stop near Playa Guiones. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs towards the beach, and you will find Playa Guiones a short walk away.

Taxi
You can easily find a taxi in Tamarindo. Just raise your hand to flag one down or ask your hotel to call one for you. When you get into the taxi, tell the driver you want to go to Playa Guiones. The ride will take around 30 minutes, and you can enjoy the local scenery along the way.
