Walking
From central Tamarindo, the estuary entrance is located near the southern end of Tamarindo Beach. Walk south along the beach, past Nogui's Restaurant, until you reach the estuary's edge. The tour operators typically meet their clients close to the river mouth. Be mindful of the tide and allow about 15-20 minutes to walk from the town center. Some tour operators include transportation from Tamarindo and Langosta.

Taxis are readily available in Tamarindo. A short taxi ride from most hotels in Tamarindo to the estuary entrance will cost approximately 4,170 CRC. Ensure the taxi is an official red taxi to avoid inflated fares. The journey takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on your location.
