While visiting Guanacaste it can be difficult to find activities for hardcore nature enthusiasts. This is one of those jewels. We had Chelo as our guide, he's a local biologist who definitely knows this place like the back of his hand. He showed us a dozen of different bird species, trees and the unexpected small fauna from the mangroves. His knowledge and passion are contagious, this tour is a must if you want to do something different and help young people doing their part to protect nature.

Uvita Chocolate Tour

Amazing experience, hands-on and interactive tour

This was an amazing experience! Ronald was such a passionate and friendly guide (owner), we enjoyed talking about the history of chocolate/cocoa and all the process of producing chocolate. Our kids (and not only them :) loved the hands-on learning about the cocoa nad chocolate, tasting of each phase of the production and making a chocolate drink step by step. My daughter enjoyed also chocolate face massage and we spent beautiful 3 hours full of information and fun. Even in tropical heavy rain it was so worth it! We even bought nice souvenirs - no tourist trap - just pure and authentic products. Don't hesitate to buy smoothie full of local fruits made by Ronald's wife - it was truly the best smoothie we had here in Costa Rica (specially the one made of bananas and their chocolate). Thanks for such a great time!
