Protestant Church and the Baptist Mission Works

The church's design offers insights into the evolution of religious buildings in the region. Free Will Baptist missionaries first arrived in Côte d'Ivoire in 1958. They initiated their work among the Koulongo people in the Gouméré area and, two years later, among the Agni in Koun. In 1962, a medical ministry was launched in Doropo, focusing on the Lobi people. By 1996, the staff had grown to include 24 missionaries, six ordained pastors, and over 30 lay preachers.
