Walking
From any central location in Sassandra, the riverfront is easily accessible on foot. Head towards Avenue de la République and follow the signs towards the water. The walk from the main market area takes about 15-20 minutes.
Public Transportation
To reach the Sassandra River from Bas-Sassandra via public transport, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the main taxi-brousse station near the central market. The fare typically ranges from 2,000 to 3,000 CFA francs, and the journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the river.
Car
If driving from the center of Bas-Sassandra, head west on Avenue de la République towards Boulevard des Martyrs. Continue for 5 km until you reach Route Nationale 1. Turn right and follow signs for Sassandra for approximately 20 km. Look for parking areas along the riverbank.
