Walking
From the central parking area near Trg Sv. Ivana, Vrbnik's main square, the old town is easily accessible on foot. Follow the cobblestone streets uphill, taking in the sights of traditional stone houses. Be prepared for some steep inclines and steps. The walk to Klančić Street, the narrowest street, is a short but charming detour from the main path. Parking near the center costs around €3 per hour. Limited parking is available, especially during peak season.
Public Transport
If arriving by bus, the main bus stop is Vrbnik, Retec / Supec. From there, it's a 10-15 minute walk uphill to the old town. Follow the main road towards the center, then turn onto one of the smaller streets leading up the hill. Bus tickets from Krk to Vrbnik range from $6-$18. Buses connect Vrbnik to other towns on the island, such as Krk and Baška.
Taxi
Taxis are available on Krk Island, but can be expensive. A taxi from Krk town to Vrbnik will cost approximately €30-€40 and take around 20 minutes. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Consider pre-booking a taxi or transfer service, especially during the busy summer months.
