Dominican Monastery, Bol: A Sanctuary of Art and History

The Dominican Monastery in Bol, a cultural gem on the island of Brač, invites visitors to step back in time and immerse themselves in centuries of art and history. The archives hold incunabula, charters, and decrees dating back to the 15th century. Art enthusiasts will be drawn to the gallery, which proudly displays Tintoretto's altar painting 'Madonna with Child and Saints,' as well as works by the Croatian Baroque painter Tripo Kokolja. The side altars in the monastery church are also noteworthy, particularly the altar of Our Lady of Rosary.Beyond its artistic and historical significance, the Dominican Monastery offers a tranquil environment with lush gardens perfect for peaceful contemplation.
