Getting there

Bus

From the center of Makarska, head to the main bus station located near the waterfront. Look for local buses that head towards Imotski. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Imotski bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Modro Jezero, which is about a 20-minute walk or a short taxi ride.

Walking

If you're already in Imotski and visiting Modro Jezero, start from the Imotski town center. Head east on Ulica Ivana Gundulića and then turn left onto Ulica Ante Starčevića. Follow this road until you reach the lake, which is well-signposted. It’s about a 30-minute walk, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.

Bicycle

For those who are adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Makarska and cycling to Imotski. Follow the coastal road towards Tučepi and then take the road leading to Imotski. This route is approximately 25 km and offers scenic views. Once in Imotski, park your bicycle and walk to Modro Jezero, which is around 2 km from the town center.
