Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from nearby cities such as Split or Šibenik, take the A1 motorway and follow signs towards Zadar. Once you reach Zadar, take the exit for Zadar 1 and follow the signs for the city center. As you approach the old town, look for parking options such as the parking garage at Obala kralja Petra Krešimira IV, which is close to the city walls. From the parking garage, it's a short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to the Zadar City Walls.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  For those traveling by bus, Zadar has excellent bus connections from various Dalmatian cities. Arrive at the Zadar Bus Station, which is located just north of the city center. From the bus station, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) towards the old town or take a local bus (lines 2 or 4) to the center. Get off at the 'Poluotok' stop, and from there, it's a short walk to the Zadar City Walls.

• Public Transportation - Train

  If you're coming from other parts of Croatia, you might choose to take a train to Zadar. The train station is located about 2 km from the city center. Upon arrival, you can take a local taxi (approximately 50 HRK) or a city bus (line 1) to reach the old town. The closest bus stop to the city walls is 'Poluotok', which is about a 5-minute walk from the walls themselves.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more direct approach, consider taking a taxi or rideshare service like Bolt or Uber from anywhere in Zadar or nearby areas. Just input 'Zadar City Walls' into the app, and the driver will take you directly to the entrance. The cost may vary depending on your starting location but expect to pay around 50-100 HRK for rides within the city.
