Tasovac Winery represents the continuation of Korčula's ancient winemaking legacy, which dates back to the 4th century BC when Greek settlers first cultivated vines on the island. The winery specializes in indigenous Korčulan grape varieties, producing wines that express the island's unique terroir shaped by Mediterranean climate, limestone soils, and centuries of viticultural knowledge. Wine Selection and Tasting Experience

The winery's portfolio features three primary wines available for tasting. Pošip, the flagship white variety, is celebrated for its crisp acidity, full-bodied character, and distinctive notes of apricot and almond. This wine was the first in Croatia to receive protected designation status in the mid-to-late 19th century. Grk, grown exclusively in Lumbarda on the island's eastern coast, offers a distinctive expression of Korčulan terroir. Plavac Mali, the robust red variety, provides a contrasting experience with deep berry flavors and spice notes, representing Dalmatia's most widely cultivated red grape. Tastings are conducted in a relaxed, educational format with knowledgeable hosts explaining the characteristics and history of each wine.
