Getting There

  • Walking

    From Pile Gate, the main entrance to Dubrovnik's Old Town, walk out of the gate and turn immediately left down the steps of Ulica Svetog Djurdja. Turn left again onto Ulica od Tabakarije, and walk for a couple of minutes. You'll see steps on the left side of the houses leading down to the beach. The walk is approximately 5 minutes. There are no costs involved.

  • Public Transport

    Take a local bus to Pile Gate. From the bus stop, walk out of Pile Gate and turn immediately left down the steps of Ulica Svetog Djurdja. Turn left again to Ulica od Tabakarije for a couple of minutes. The steps to the beach will be on the left. A single bus ticket costs €1.73 if purchased at a kiosk or €2.50 if purchased on the bus.

  • Taxi

    Take a taxi to Pile Gate, the western entrance to the Old Town. From there, walk out of Pile Gate and turn immediately left down the steps of Ulica Svetog Djurdja. Turn left again to Ulica od Tabakarije for a couple of minutes. The steps to the beach will be on the left. Taxis cannot enter the Old Town. The initial taxi charge is approximately 4 EUR, plus 1.3 EUR per additional kilometer. From Pile Gate to Lapad, the fare is approximately 10 EUR.
