Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the Old Town of Dubrovnik, specifically from the Pile Gate. Exit the Old Town through the Pile Gate and head straight towards the main road, Ulica Brsalje. Continue walking along this road until you reach the intersection with Ulica Iva Dulčića. At this point, you will see signs indicating the direction to the cable car station. Follow the signs to the Dubrovnik Cable Car station, which is about a 15-minute walk from Pile Gate. Once at the cable car station, purchase your ticket and take the cable car to the top of Mount Srđ. The ride lasts approximately 4 minutes and offers stunning views of Dubrovnik. Upon reaching the top, you will see Fort Imperial directly ahead. Follow the paved path leading to the fort, which is a short walk from the cable car exit.

  • Bus

    From the Old Town, walk to the bus stop at Pile (located just outside the Pile Gate). Board bus number 18, which goes to the cable car station. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the cable car station stop and follow the same instructions as above to take the cable car to the top of Mount Srđ. Once you arrive at the top, the fort is a short walk away.
