Getting there

Walking

From the center of Hvar town, start at the main square (Trg Sv. Stjepana). Head south towards the waterfront promenade (Riva) and continue walking along the waterfront in the direction of the Franciscan Monastery. Keep going until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will see a path leading to the hill. Follow this path that takes you past the monastery. After a short walk, you will reach a fork in the path. Take the left path that leads downhill towards the sea.

Boat Taxi

Alternatively, you can take a boat taxi from the Hvar harbor directly to Kova Beach. Head to the boat taxi station located near the main square on the waterfront. Purchase a ticket for a boat taxi to Pokonji Dol Bay. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes, and you will be dropped off close to Kova Beach.

Public Transport (Bus/Minivan)

Depending on the schedule, you might find a local bus or minivan that can take you closer to Pokonji Dol Bay. Check at the main bus station in Hvar town for the latest schedule. If available, take the bus heading towards the nearby beaches. Get off at the closest stop to Pokonji Dol Bay and walk the remaining distance, which should be about a 10-15 minute walk down to the beach.
