Punta Rata: A Serene Coastal Paradise

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Hvar town, start at the main square (Trg sv. Stjepana). From the square, head towards the waterfront promenade (Riva). Walk along the promenade until you reach the end where the harbor is located. Continue walking along the waterfront, following the signs towards the beach (Punta Rata) for about 25-30 minutes. You'll pass by several smaller beaches and scenic views. Punta Rata is located on the southern side of Hvar, just after the last beach you encounter on this route.

• Taxi Boat

  From Hvar town's harbor, you can hire a taxi boat to Punta Rata. Look for the taxi boat stands along the waterfront, and ask for a ride to Punta Rata. The boat ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. This is a great option if you want to enjoy the sea breeze and scenic views from the water. Make sure to confirm the price before boarding.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Hvar town. From the rental shop, head towards the waterfront and follow the same path along the promenade. After about 10 minutes of cycling, take the road that leads to the beach area. Continue cycling for another 15-20 minutes, keeping an eye out for signs that direct you to Punta Rata. The route is quite scenic, with beautiful views along the way.
