If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Rijeka, which is the largest city in the Kvarner region. Head south on the D403 toward the A7 motorway. Merge onto the A7 motorway toward Opatija. Continue on A7 for about 30 km. Take the exit toward the D101 road toward the island of Rab. Follow signs for the ferry to Rab from the port of Jablanac. The ferry takes about 15-20 minutes and costs approximately 40 HRK for a standard vehicle. Once you arrive at the island of Rab, continue on the D105 road toward Kampor, which is about 15 km away. Uvala vela Planka is located in Kampor, so look for signs leading you to the beach area.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Rijeka to Rab. The bus departs from the Rijeka bus station and takes approximately 2.5 hours. The ticket costs around 80 HRK. Once you arrive at Rab bus station, you can take a local bus or taxi to Kampor (approximately 10 minutes). Alternatively, you can rent a bike or walk to Uvala vela Planka if the weather permits, as it's only about 5 km from Rab town.

If you are in Kampor already, you can reach Uvala vela Planka by bike or on foot. From the center of Kampor, head southwest on the local roads until you reach the coast. Follow the coastal path which leads directly to Uvala vela Planka. This route is approximately 2 km and offers beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea. It is suitable for both biking and walking.
