If you are traveling by car within Lika, start your journey from the town of Gospić, which is centrally located. Head towards the D50 road and continue on it for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the town of Otočac. From Otočac, take the D23 road heading south towards the village of Klada. As you approach Klada, follow the signs directing you to Veliki Zavižan. The final stretch will involve a narrow road, so drive cautiously. There is no entrance fee to Veliki Zavižan, but parking may incur a small fee, depending on the season.

To reach Veliki Zavižan via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Gospić to Otočac. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Otočac, you will need to switch to a local bus heading to Klada. Check the local bus schedules as they may vary. Upon arriving in Klada, you can either walk or take a taxi for the final leg to Veliki Zavižan. Walking will take approximately 30 minutes, while a taxi may cost around 50 HRK.
