Getting There

• Walking

  The Istrian Coast Bastion is located in Zadar's Old Town, easily accessible on foot from most points within the city center. From the Sea Organ or the Roman Forum, walk along the coastal promenade (Obala kneza Branimira) towards the northwest. The bastion will be visible on your left, a short walk from the city's main attractions. No entrance fee is required.

• Public Transport

  Zadar's public transport is primarily based on buses. From the main bus station, take a local bus towards the Old Town. Get off at a stop near the city center (e.g., near the Mala posta) and walk towards the coast. Follow the coastal promenade to the northwest to reach the Istrian Coast Bastion. A single bus ticket costs around €1.50. Tickets can be purchased on board, at a kiosk, or via the Zadar City mobile app.

• Taxi/Ride-share

  Taxis and ride-sharing services are available in Zadar. Request a ride to the Old Town (Istarska obala). From the drop-off point, the Istrian Coast Bastion is a short walk along the coastal promenade. A short taxi ride within the city center typically costs around 50 HRK.

• Driving

  Driving within Zadar's Old Town is restricted. Parking is available outside the city walls. Several parking zones are available, with hourly rates ranging from EUR 0.80 to EUR 1.59 in Zone 1 during the summer. Garage Center Zadar, about a 10-minute walk from the Old Town, offers parking with hourly rates of EUR 3 during the summer. From the parking area, walk to the bastion.
