Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main coastal road (D8) in the Makarska Riviera. Head towards the town of Baška Voda and continue driving north. After approximately 20 km, you will reach the town of Brela. Keep following the D8 until you get to the turnoff for the A1 highway. Take the A1 highway towards Split and continue for about 30 km. Take the exit for 'Sveti Luka' and follow signs for Ljubuški. Continue driving towards Ljubuški, and after entering the town, follow signs for Koćuša Waterfall. The waterfall is located at Veljaci bb, Ljubuški 88320, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Makarska to Ljubuški. Buses typically run several times a day, and the trip will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Ljubuški, you will need to take a taxi or use a rideshare service to reach Koćuša Waterfall, as it is approximately 7 km from the bus station. Taxis are usually available outside the bus station, and the fare should be around 10-15 euros, depending on the time of day.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the waterfall and prefer a walking adventure, you can take a scenic route from Veljaci. The walk will take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. From the center of Veljaci, follow the signs leading to Koćuša Waterfall. The trail is well-marked, and you can expect to enjoy beautiful views along the way. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear, as some parts of the path may be uneven.
