Getting there

Walking

From the center of Makarska, head east towards the waterfront promenade (Riva). Walk along the promenade until you reach the bus station. From there, look for the local bus service that goes to Lumbarda. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop for Podstrana. Walk a short distance towards the address Podstrana 233, and you will find Bire Winery on your left.

Bicycle

If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Makarska. Start at the waterfront and head east along the coastal road (D8). Follow the road for approximately 8 kilometers. Once you reach the village of Lumbarda, look for signs directing you to Podstrana. The winery is located at Podstrana 233. Be cautious of traffic and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

Taxi

For a more convenient option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Makarska. Simply find a taxi stand or call a local taxi service. Inform the driver that you want to go to Bire Winery at Podstrana 233 in Lumbarda. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand, or ask the driver to use the meter.
