Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Makarska, head towards the beach promenade near the main square (Trg fra Andrije Kačića Miošića). Walk along the promenade heading northwest, enjoying the sea view. Continue on the path for about 5 kilometers, following the coastline. You will pass by several small beaches and cafes. Once you reach the village of Brela, look for signs directing you to the famous Punta Rata Beach, which is well-known for its crystal-clear waters and the iconic Brela Rock.

  • Bus

    From Makarska Bus Station, purchase a ticket to Brela at the ticket counter. Look for the bus that is heading towards Split; many of these buses stop in Brela. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Brela, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, you can walk towards the beach, which is just a short 5-10 minute walk downhill from the bus stop.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Makarska. After renting, head towards the coastal road (D8) that leads out of Makarska. Cycle along the scenic route towards Brela, which is approximately 12 kilometers away. The route is relatively flat and well-marked. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Brela, and enjoy the stunning coastal views as you ride.
