Bus
To reach Vidova Gora from Makarska, first, head to the main bus station located near the center of Makarska. Look for buses heading towards Bol; they are usually marked with the destination name. The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Bol, get off at the bus station. From there, you can either take a taxi or rent a bicycle to get closer to Vidova Gora. If you choose to walk, follow the signs towards the mountain; it’s about a 45-minute walk uphill.
Boat
Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Makarska to Supetar on the island of Brač. The ferry terminal is located at the harbor in Makarska. Once you arrive in Supetar, catch a bus or taxi towards Bol. The journey from Supetar to Bol takes about 30 minutes by bus. From the Bol bus station, follow the previously mentioned instructions to get to Vidova Gora.
Bike
If you prefer an active approach, rent a bike in Makarska. There are several rental shops along the promenade. Cycle towards the town of Bol via the coastal road, which offers beautiful views. The ride is about 30 km and takes about 2 hours. Once in Bol, follow the signs to Vidova Gora, which is a steep uphill route. Ensure you have enough water and take breaks as needed.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to hike to Vidova Gora directly, you can start your journey from the center of Bol. It’s a challenging hike, approximately 4 km from Bol to the summit. Follow the trail signs towards Vidova Gora, which will lead you through beautiful scenery. Make sure to wear good hiking shoes and carry water, as it can be quite steep and strenuous.
